It's very scary stuff -- you can't ...AJ --<br /><br />It's very scary stuff -- you can't see or detect it without a meter of some sort, and by the time you know something's gone horribly wrong, it's too late -- you're already in the jaws of that cosmic pit bull.<br /><br />According to Bert Hickman, it's the essentially limitless quantity of electricity in any system fed by high tension lines that makes voltages of 480 and above so lethal. Once the tap has been opened via any kind of short, it becomes a sort of Hellmouth channeling all that juice into the fire -- and power that big can blow right through industrial strength circuit breakers.
